Bear Lake With The Chandlers

All of Jake's family got together at Bear Lake this year. Some of his family members we hadn't seen for almost two years so it was good that we could all get together. On our first day there, we went for a hike to some pretty cool lakes. They were cold, but Jake jumped into one.
I remember going to this lake and jumping in when I went to Bear Lake for girl's camp one year. Jake's brother brought up his BB gun, so we had fun shooting it. We also got family pictures taken, since we were all together. We went to the Oregon Trail Museum in Montpelier. That was pretty cool. They took us through what it would be like on the Oregon Trail. Reminded me of the game that I used to play in grade school on the computers. We also had a great time at lake. Jake's parent's brought up their boat and we were able to enjoy time at the beach and on the boat. While at the beach I went back to the cabin on a 4wheeler to go the bathroom. I was almost back to the beach where there is this stretch of grass. It looked even to me, so I started to go faster. Well, I hit a bump and fell off the 4wheeler. It was a good thing that I had a helmet on because I landed on my head. My helmet flew off. I got scraped up, on my legs and arms, and had a headache for a while. I'm glad it wasn't any worse. Tean enjoyed playing in the sand and trying to eat it. I got Tean all ready to go on the boat, but when I got him on the boat he started screaming and didn't seem to want to go, so I didn't. Would you want to go if you had to wear this? Tean with his Uncle Joe and cousin Ben. Ben is about 3 months younger than Tean. Exhausted! We had a great time!

Jake's Birthday!!

So on August 11, Jake turned 26! (yes, I'm a little late getting it on here.) Jake's brother that he hasn't seen for almost two years came down just in time to celebrate. We had a barbecue and had a great time with his family. Jake got a fishing pool and gear for his birthday so he can catch us some fish!I'm so glad I married Jake. He is a wonderful husband and father. He works hard for our family so I can stay home with Tean. I LOVE YOU!

White Cloud Mountains

Last week, Jake went with the Scouts in our ward on their high adventure trip to the White Cloud Mountains. Jake had no idea where he was going. When he was getting ready to leave, Jake asked the other leader going if he needed a pass to get into Yellowstone (that is where he thought they were going). The leader said, no, we're going to Challis area. When they got there, Jake asked where they were hiking to. The leader said they had to get to the white clouds. A little later he realized it was the White Cloud Mountains. He hiked about 30 miles during the trip. He was really sore when he got home. The next day he could barely walk. He was not in shape to do all that walking. He saw bear while there. The lake everyone jumped into with nothing but their skivies on, with glaciers around it.

Tean 6 months

Tean had his six month appointment today.

height - 27" (75th percentile)
weight - 14 lbs 10 oz (20th percentile)

He did pretty good with his shots. He cried for a few minutes and then was great. He's growing so much! He loves to play with almost everything. He's trying to crawl. He'll get his legs in position, but then he'll put his head down instead of up. He'll move forward a little this way. He's rolling around a lot. This past week he's started to only wake up once in the night!!! Yea!! I put him down at 9pm and then he'll wake up at 1 or 2 or 3, (not very consistent). It's great!

Lagoon

Yesterday was BYU-Idaho alumni Lagoon Day. Jake's parents wanted to take his younger brother and sister to Lagoon, so we went with them. My brother-in-law, Frank, and niece, Kailey, also went with us. We had a good time there. It had been a long time since Jake or I had been to Lagoon. There are a lot of new rides. I really liked the Samurai, but no one else wanted to go on that with me. Jake and I both really liked Wicked, but we thought it was too short, especially since we had to wait in line a REALLY long time. There were a few other rides we wanted to go on, but didn't because the lines were so long. Tean after he rode the Sky Coaster. He didn't like that ride very much. He cried most of it. Tean getting ready to go on the Merry-Go-Round. Waiting for the Merry-Go-Round to start. Tean while the Merr-Go-Round was going. He loved it! Taking a little break in between rides. Enjoying Lagoon-a-Beach.

Tean Playing

Tean loves to play with about everything. Paper is probably his favorite toy. The other day he played with a receipt for about 15 minutes without getting bored with it. I gave him a bowl the other day to play with while I was fixing breakfast and he was loving it. He was trying to put it on his head, so I put it on him and he thought it was great!

Pioneer Day Celebration

Since we got home from Bear Lake fairly early on Saturday, we decided to go to the Pioneer Day Celebration that was here in Pocatello. We didn't stay very long because it was so HOT! While we were there, we saw Jake's mom and little sister, Mezi. Mezi wanted Jake to go on a blow-up toy where you have a cord hooked to you and you try to get the marker as far as you can. Since it was so hot, the toy was super hot. Jake tried to run in the little bit of shade that was on the toy, but his foot touched the part that was really hot and it got burned really bad.

Bear Lake

Last week, we went to Bear Lake with the Moon family. We went to Milisa's cabin. We had a great time. Everyone except my oldest brother and his family came. It was great that almost everyone could come. We had a great time swimming at the pool, swimming at the lake, spending time on the Jet skis (Jake threw me off while I was riding the tube in about 30 seconds), playing games, and just spending time with family. Tean liked the kiddie pool, but wasn't too keen on being in the big pool and the lake. We had a great time with family and look forward to next year!

Bathtime Fun

Tonight when I gave Tean a bath, he thought it was so funny when I splashed him with water. He usually doesn't play during bath time, he just kind of tolerates the bath, but tonight he was loving it.
