Ziah On His 4 Wheeler

Ziah loved getting on Tean's 4 wheeler and ridding around.

He thought he was such a big boy to be able to ride around on it.
Isn't he a cutie?

Ziah's First Birthday!

On October 12, Ziah had his first birthday!  Unfortunately we were in Utah attending a BYU game, so we waited until the 14th to celebrate it.  That afternoon, during Ziah's nap I worked on his cake.  I found this really cute idea on Pinterest, so I copied it a bit and improvised on some of the stuff.
I thought that it turned out really cute.
We invited all of Jake's family that was in town over for dinner and cake and ice cream.  It was also Jake's sister's little girl's birthday the day before, so we celebrated her birthday as well.
Ziah was very interested in the candle and wanted to touch it.
He wouldn't blow on the candle, so with a little help from daddy, he got the candle blown out.
At first he was a little hesitant about eating the cupcake.
Soon he hugged it to his body so no one would take it.
He loved the frosting on the cake.
That was about all he ate, but he loved it!

After cake and ice cream, we opened presents.
After realizing what he was supposed to do, he did a great job opening the presents.
He loved all the attention that he was getting.
I am so thankful for Ziah and that he came to our family.  We waited a long time for him, and we love having his happy smiling face around.  He is a really happy baby.  He scoots on his bum a lot, and the last month or two has started to crawl normal as well.  He loves to cruise around on furniture, but hasn't gotten adventurous to try to walk.  We are so happy to have Ziah as part of our family.  Happy Birthday, Ziah!!

Tean's First BYU Game

On October 12, we took Tean to his first BYU game of the season.  He had a great time.  His cousin was there also, so he had lots of fun before the game playing tackle football with him.
He loved the game and even was cheering and trying to understand what was going on.
We had a great time!

Big Boys

Ziah so sad that he couldn't go outside with the big boys.

Sometimes being little is hard.

My Kids

This is the happy face that I usually see when Ziah is up from his nap or in the morning.
Ziah got his first sucker from the bank.  I wasn't going to give him one, but he saw them and had to have one.  He had a death grip on it and got mad when I took the stick away when he was all done.

I had some helpers when I was putting away groceries.
You can tell how much help they were!
They had a lot of fun, though.

Surprise!

We are super excited!

Ziah's First Haircut

At the end of September, Ziah got his first haircut!
He did pretty good at standing there and not being scared of the clippers.  He didn't need a whole lot cut off, he just had a few wisps of hair on the top that were really long.
I sure do love that smile of his!

Tean's First Primary Program

Tean is getting too old.  I can't believe he is already old enough to be in a primary program!  He was so ready for the program, had his part memorized.
He was the very first one to get up and speak.  I think he got a little nervous, because he ended up needing a little help.  He did great in the program.  He did get a little distracted by little feet that were taped to the floor where he was supposed to stand, but he sang and did awesome on his part.
I'm so proud of my little boy, who isn't so little any more!

Four Wheelers

We have been looking to buy some four wheelers for a while.  We wanted one with a plow so that in the winter we didn't have to shovel our driveway.  Jake found 3 four wheelers on craigslist, with a plow and a trailer for a really good deal, so we drove up to Rigby, looked at them and then decided to buy them.  There were two big ones and one small one that Tean loves to drive with me on it with him
Tean always wants to go on a ride on the four wheelers now.  He was a little nervous going on them at first, but after a time or two on them, he loved it.  Ziah absolutely loves riding on them.  I drove him around the block on the little one, then I took him off and he started crying.  He stopped when I put him back on.
We are excited about the purchase we made and look forward to the snow so we can try out the plow. (That is the only reason I am looking forward to snow, not excited about the cold.)

Roxi Walking the Kids

About a month ago, we got a harness for Roxie to see if she could pull the kids in our bike trailer.  We decided to try it out and we hooked her up.
She was a little leery of it at first, but then after a bit seemed to be okay with it.

I had to steer a little bit, because she didn't always walk very strait.
Uphill she had a little harder time pulling, but she could still do it.
Tean and Mosiah loved having Roxie pull them around.
