Jake and I both got root canals and we both needed crowns on our teeth, so we decided to head to Mexico on Labor day weekend and get them done. Some people might think us a little crazy to go clear down there for dental work, but it is known as the dentist capital of the world. Plus we saved over $1000 by going down there and getting the work done. On our way down there, there was a big fire right by the freeway that we were going on, so we had to go around it, adding about 2 hours to our trip. The road switch-backed back and forth and near the end of that part of the drive, Tean got sick and threw up in the car :( Not fun at all. Jake's aunt and uncle were awesome and let us stay a couple of nights there while we went down to Mexico. Tean did awesome in the car!
When we got down to Mexico, Tean's favorite part of the trip was chasing the birds.
When ever he saw some birds he had to chase them. Jake's and my favorite part of the trip was definitely eating the Mexican food. YUM! Tean also kept wanting to sit on the"zebras" that they had on every street corner (donkeys painted like zebras). And people kept trying to get us to pay to get a picture on the "zebra." We were able to get our crowns done in a day! It was a quick trip, but definitely worth it!
