Montreal, Canada Part 2

The second day in Montreal, Jake didn't have to work.  We went to a market in the morning.  We found some maple syrup to buy.   We saw some live crabs to buy to eat, and some octopus.
We tried some croissants and some other stuff there that we hadn't tried before.
After that we went to the Art Museum that they had in the city.  We saw some cool stuff there.
This is a painting that was painted on a bunch of different pieces of cardboard and then stuck together.  They had a room with lots of different kinds of chairs that was kind of cool.
While we were driving around the city, we noticed in the middle of one of the roads, there were a bunch of swings that people could come and swing on.  We thought is was a little weird, but thought it would be cool to stop.  We were going to stop, but when we saw it we had to get somewhere and then when we came back to go on them it started raining and someone was taking them down in the rain.  We saw them at night time and the seats glowed in the dark.

This is a cool building that we saw outside of the museum
After the museum and eating, we went to the Montreal Temple.  It was a small temple and only had one session that day.  It was exactly like the Fresno Temple that I went to all the time on my mission.  Before the session started they took a vote to see who wanted the session in French and who wanted it in English.  French won out, so we got head phones to listen to the session in English.
This is the bridge that we crossed to get to the temple
We enjoyed our time in Montreal.  We didn't realize how French it was, but it is VERY French.  If you want to work in the province of Quebec you have to pass a French language proficiency test.  They have language police to make sure that French is the main language in the place of business.  We had a great time, but it was great to get home to our kids.
