Canning

This year I have canned quite a bit.  I did pears,
 raspberry jam,
 strawberry-peach jam,
 peaches,
pear jam and more peaches and raspberry jam.  Tean had fun helping me too.  It has been a lot of work, but we sure are going to enjoy all the fruit and jam during the winter!

First Day of Preschool

Tean had his first day of Preschool on September 3rd.  Six other moms and I are doing a co-op preschool.  We each have to teach for a total of 4 1/2 weeks through out the whole school year.  Tean wanted me to first take a picture of his backpack before he would let me take a picture of him.
Tean was really excited to go to school.
Ziah and Tean together.  I'm sure Ziah would have wanted to go with Tean.
I can't believe Tean is old enough to go to preschool.  He seems to be growing up so fast.  He is always saying things that surprise me that he knows.  He is a really smart kid and loves learning!

Eastern Idaho State Fair

On Labor Day we went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot.  We met Jake's brother and family there.  It rained A LOT!  Luckily a lot of what we saw was inside.  The only way Tean would let me take a picture of him by this sheep was if he could hold up his money so I could take a picture of his money.
Ziah was having a fun time, even though it was raining.
Tean liked the horses.  He tried to feed all the animals.
There was a petting farm that Tean liked.
Tean wanted to use his own money to buy some food for the animals.  I told him he should spend it on something else, but he really wanted to buy some food, so he did and he had a great time feeding the animals.
Tean loves sticking his face in these things to get his picture taken.

Ziah was loving the sample of chocolate milk that we got.  It was probably a little too early to give it to him, because shortly after he threw up his lunch.  Not a lot of fun to clean up, but he was still happy!
There was a place where you could shoot guns that shot out lasers and you could shoot at pretend animals.  Tean LOVED it.  He loves being able to shoot guns.
He could have stayed there all day, but we finally had to drag him away so others could get a chance.
Despite the rain, we had a great time walking around the fair, seeing the animals, eating tiger ears and being together.

Last Time at the Zoo

We decided to go to the zoo one last time before they closed it during the week.  It was a hot day, so we saw lots of animals in the water.  The grizzly bear was swimming around in the little pond.
It was fun watching him play around and just relax.

We also saw the two black bears playing in the water.  They even got in a little fight about who got to be in the bucket of water that was in their cage.  Tean had a great time watching the bears and all the other animals play around.

Bowling to Celebrate!

At the end of August we paid off all our debt (YEA!!!) so we went bowling to celebrate.
Tean loved bowling.  Sometimes his ball went so slow, I wondered if it would make it down the lane.

 Ziah had fun watching everyone.
If you look close, you can see that in our first game we all broke 100!

Going Home Through Yellowstone

On our way back home, we went through Yellowstone again.  We stopped at some different places that what we saw on our way over.
 We saw this beautiful waterfall.
There are some beautiful places to see in Yellowstone.

We had a great time on our trip with Jake's family.  It was great to spend time with them and enjoy Cody and it's surrounding areas.

Other Happenings in Cody

In the house we stayed in, Ziah had a lot of fun crawling around and causing trouble.
Tean and some of his cousins made this shoe pile.
One afternoon we went to the riverfest that was going on in Cody.
Tean had fun fishing and pretending to be a fisherman.  We didn't stay long because once we got there because the wind started blowing a lot and it started raining like crazy.
We headed over to a little gift shop/museum.  They had a lot of cool things to look at.
There were lots of different animal heads.

They had lots of Indian artifacts and different things from the west.
They had a mini setup of all of the happenings in the west during the 1800s.

That evening, Jake and I went to a rodeo.
It had been a while since I'd been to one.  Not very many people were able to rope the cows or stay on the bulls and bucking broncos.  In the middle of the rodeo it started raining and the wind was blowing like crazy.  Luckily it only lasted about 20 minutes.
We had a great time at all the places we went that day.

Gun Fight

One night in Cody, there was a gun fight show that they put on.  They closed down one of the streets and did it in the middle of the street.  Tean thought the guns were pretty cool.
The bad guys came into town to cause some trouble.

The bad guys finally got shot down.

Tean wanted to go meet the guys in the show.  Someone was nice and gave him a poster with all of the characters on it.

We had an awesome time watching the gun show.  Ziah even enjoyed watching it and didn't even cry when they shot the guns, just got a little startled.
