9 Months

Tean had his 9 month doctors appointment today. His stats:

29" - 74th percentile
16.6 lbs - 3rd percentile

So, he's tall and super skinny. The doctor wants me to feed Tean solid food at least 4 times a day, preferably 5 or 6 times a day. I feel like I'm feeding him all the time, but I guess I'll have to feed him even more. Tean is walking around on furniture. He's able to pull himself up. He still doesn't want to do a real crawl, but is doing a half crawl, half scoot on his bum. Even though he's not crawling, Tean still gets around pretty well and gets into stuff I don't want him to get into. He is a chatter box. Tean is starting to sleep pretty good at night, for which I am glad. Tean is a very happy little boy and smiles lots, especially when there is a camera around. We love him!

Canning Apples!

I have never canned anything by myself before, so this year we had a lot of apples from our trees, so I decided to try to can apples. I canned apples for pies and stuff like that, and also applesauce. It was a pain doing by myself, but I did it. They turned out great! Here are just some of the apples that I canned. In all, I think I did 16 bottles of apples, and 16 bottles of applesauce.

Mission to Poland

My parents are going on a mission to Warsaw, Poland. They will be working in the institute outreach program. They leave on November 2. We went down to Utah this weekend to listen to them speak in church and watch them get set apart. They did a great job on their talks. It was great to spend some time with them. It's crazy that I won't see them for 2 years! At least senior missionaries have different rules and we'll be able to talk to them on Skype. I'm excited for them and this great opportunity that they are going to have. They are going to be great missionaries!

BYU game

We have season tickets to BYU football again this year. Unfortunately, BYU football hasn't been very exciting at home. But, exciting or not, we still drive down to support the cougars. After all, we have to get Tean into BYU football at a young age. Whether BYU wins or loses, Tean has a great time at the games.

New Lights

In our bedroom, we had a ceiling fan that was really low. Jake had to duck every time he went by, and sometimes in the middle of the night he'd forget and hit his head on the fan or the lights. We had been wanting to move it to the higher part of the ceiling in our bedroom and Jake finally did it! He did a great job. We love it. There is a lot more light in our room. The people before us in the house put an addition onto the room, but in the part they added on, they didn't put a light. So we put our ceiling fan/light there and added a regular light where our ceiling fan was, and the results where awesome. I can't help but add more pictures of Tean. Isn't he adorable?
