Jake In Mexico

Jake left on Monday to go down to Mexico for a week. A family that he baptized on his mission went to the temple yesterday and Jake had told them that he would go down when they went to the temple. Jake said that it was an amazing experience. I wish I could have been there too for the wonderful experience. I miss Jake a lot and am a little worried that he might catch the Swine Flu, but I just have to pray that the Lord will protect him while he is down there. I'll post pictures that he took when he gets back.

Easter With the Chandlers

On Easter Sunday we went up to Jake's parent's house to celebrate. We had a nice dinner and then went outside and hid Easter eggs. We each took our turn hiding them and then having everyone else find them.Tean holding an Easter egg.We had a fun spending Easter with his family. I'm so thankful for Jesus Christ and the sacrifice that He made for us. I know that He died for our sins and that He rose three days later and was resurrected. I know He made it possible so that we can live with Him and we will be resurrected someday. I'm glad we had Easter so we could reflect more on Jesus Christ and His life.Jake and Tean chilling on the couch Easter night.

Gardening

So we are attempting to grow a garden again this year. We are going to be staying here this summer, so it should be more successful since we will be able to actually plant them in our yard and not in buckets like last year. We have A LOT of work to do in our yard. After being gone in the summer for the past two years and doing nothing to our yard, it has really started to overgrow and look a mess. We are slowing starting to get it to look better. We have pruned some of our trees and raked up about 15 big bags of leaves (although we still have a lot of leaves to rake up.) We are starting to get our garden ready to plant. We have already planted our seeds in doors. They are all ready to be planted outside, so we need to get the garden ready. We started yesterday. Hopefully, within the next few days we'll be able to plant our garden outside. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and stay warm enough to plant! Tean even came out for a little bit to watch us garden, but then I think he was getting sick of the wind and started fussing so I had to take him inside. We hope our plants will grow!

Easter With the Moons

This weekend we went down to Utah. We left Thursday night because Jake had a test to take for alarms on Friday morning. He passed!!! He can now rent out his license to other alarm companies and we'll get paid for it. Yea!!! I'm really proud of him.
Today we had an Easter egg hunt. I didn't do any eggs for Tean because he's so young and doesn't even know how to pick up an egg. I figured next year I'll have him participate. He had fun spending time with his cousins and aunts and uncles. It was great to spend time with some family. My brother was here from Puerto Rico and my other brother was here from Chicago, so it was good to see them.
Sorry, I forgot my camera so no pictures. Darn it!

General Conference

Yesterday we had a wonderful General Conference. It was great to hear the prophets and apostles speak to us and give us the counsel we need in our lives. In between sessions yesterday, we went to a park by our house and had a picnic. All tuckered out during the picnic. It was a beautiful day. It was finally warm enough weather that we could be outside. It has been a long time since the weather has been like that. Tean had a fun time. He went down the slide at the park all by himself. Here is a video of him going down the slide.Tean was full of smiles yesterday. President Monson encouraged us yesterday to focus on the blessings in our lives. I am so thankful for my husband and my son. They bring so much happiness in my life. I'm so glad we are a forever family! Here is a picture of my wonderful husband playing with Tean. Tean swinging in his swing. He loves it!

Lots of Stuff

So this past weekend we went down to Utah for my friend, Meena's wedding. On Thursday night there was a dinner that we went to. At the end of the dinner, my friend Judy was holding Tean. Meena wanted to hold him, so Judy gave him to Meena. Soon after I noticed a stream of water coming from Tean's leg. He peed all over Meena! I changed Tean's diaper before we left Pocatello. I was going to change him when we got to the dinner, but he was sleeping when we arrived. When he woke up, he was in such a good mood I totally forgot about changing his diaper. So it had been over 5 hours since I had changed him and the diaper finally had too much. It was pretty funny. The wedding went great the next day. It was neat to see Meena get married and see her so happy. Tean playing with his toys. Tean and Daddy hanging out.
