Ziah's Eye

The day we went to the zoo, Ziah's eye was looking a little goopy.  The next morning it looked a little better, so I wasn't going to take him to the doctors, but by the afternoon it was looking worse, so I took him to the doctor.
At the doctor's office, he was pretty happy despite his goopy eye.  The doctor said he had an eye infection so he gave us some eye drops.
I didn't go get the eye drops until after his nap and dinner cause he was so tired, so by the evening it was pretty bad.  I felt so bad for him, but it is now looking great.

Boise Zoo

On Monday, Jake had to go to Boise to service an alarm, so we went along and went to the zoo after.  Unfortunately it was kind of rainy, but we didn't get too wet.  Also, when Jake was on his way to fix the alarm Ziah decided to throw up, so Jake dropped us off at the store to clean him up and we had to buy him something to wear because we didn't have anything with us.  He was feeling a little sick all day :(
All around the zoo they had these big dinosaurs that moved an made noises.  Surprisingly, Tean didn't want his picture by them, so Ziah and I decided to get one by the T-Rex.
They had a butterfly walk where we saw lots and lots and lots of really pretty butterflies.

Tean loved going in this egg!
Some monkeys and their baby.  You can't tell that one has a baby in the picture, but they do and it was really cute!
Tean had to have his picture by the giraffe fossil.

These lions and the giraffes reminded us of Grandma and Grandpa Moon on their mission in Kenya.  This lion got up on the hill in the middle of his cage an roared and roared.
Tean was a little nervous to have his picture taken by the lion.
I think Tean's face in this picture is hilarious.  He did not smile while petting the snake, but he did want to pet it twice, and even wanted to go back for more but there were too many people around the snake.
Tean and me and some wallabies in the wallaby walk.
Tean and a sloth bear.  It was cool that the bear was right next to the window.
Chilling in the penguin viewing area.
Tean absolutely loved the groundhog holes that he could go up.

When we saw this animal, without seeing what it actually was, Jake said to me, "Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a fox that big."  Tean heard Jake say that and he said, "Actually that's not a fox, it's a mane wolf."  Sure enough we looked on the sign and it said it was a mane wolf.  Thanks to Diego, Tean knew that!
Jake enjoying the zoo!

We had a great time at the zoo.  The ride home was a little long because Ziah was feeling sick, so he wasn't his usually happy self.

Girl's Camp

I was recently put in as Beehive adviser, just in time for girls camp!  I loved girl's camp when I was younger, so I was glad I was able to go for part of it.  I got to go for two days up to camp last week.  Jake was out of town that week, so Jake's mom was great and watched the kids for those two days.

I rode up on Wednesday afternoon with another leader.  We got up there in time to help with the service project they were doing.
They made these owls for kids in hospitals.  They turned out really cute!  The days that I was up there were really cold!  I'm glad I brought stuff for cold weather.  The first night up their our ward did their skit.  It turned out great.  The theme of camp was "Women of Great Courage and Faith."  Each ward chose a woman in history that had great courage and faith.  Our ward chose Eve.  They were able to make it funny and spiritual.
My last day there a lot of the girls spent some time in the canoes.

The last night there the rest of the wards did their skits and then we had a testimony meeting around the fire.  It was a great testimony meeting.  The spirit was very strong.  Our ward has great girls in it.  Everyone was friendly to everyone.  There were two non-members that came up too and all the girls befriended them as well.  I'm lucky to be teaching such wonderful girls.  The testimony meeting got over at midnight, and then we headed home a little after that.  We got home just after 2 in the morning.  After saying bye to my mother-in-law and showering, Jake got home from his trip around 3, so I didn't get to bed until just after 3.  And I was so lucky Ziah decided to wake up about 6 the next morning.  So I had a little less than 3 hours of sleep.  Luckily Ziah was fine with just rocking and eventually went to sleep for a little longer.  I had such a great time at girls camp and it was great to get to know the girls a little more.

Random Pictures

One day when we went to lunch in the park, they had people there who were making balloon animals.  Tean asked for a sword, so they made him one.  He wanted me to take a picture of him on this horse with his sword.
Tean playing in the ball pit in the morning while I'm exercising.
Last Sunday when we were at Jake's parents for dinner, Ziah decided he wanted to lounge in the high chair while we were eating.

Sick Kid

About 2 weeks ago, Tean woke in the middle of the night, throwing up.  He threw up about every 15 minutes from midnight until about 3 am.  I felt so bad for him.  Later the next day he was feeling a lot better and was mad that I wouldn't let him go outside and play with his friends that day.  A couple days later I had to go to Young Women's, so Jake was watching the kids.  Right as I was pulling in the driveway I get a text with these pictures:

Jake had spun Ziah around and put him down.  He got fussy soon after and so Jake picked him up and then he threw up all over Jake.
Even after throwing up, Ziah had a big smile on his face.  He ended up throwing up three more times that night, but the awesome thing is that once I got him cleaned up he went right back to sleep.

Father/Son Campout

Earlier this month, Tean and Jake went to our ward's yearly father/son campout.  Tean was so excited to go and sleep in a tent and go camping with daddy and his friends.  They went to FMC park.  Their were peacocks again like last year that kept them up a lot of the night.
Tean had a great time running around and playing with his friends.  At around 10 pm, Tean went to Jake and asked if they could go in their tent and go to sleep.  Jake said sure, so they went in.  After about 5 minutes in their Tean asked to go back outside because everyone was still outside playing.  They must have woken up pretty early, because they were home at around 7 am the next morning!

Brooklyn's Playground

During the summer at some parks here in Pocatello, they serve free lunch, so on Fridays some girls from my ward get together and go and let our kids play on the playground.  Tean loves it.
Ziah loves swinging in the swing.  Tean does not, so Tean pushed.

Tean had fun riding on some horses with his friend, Cole.
This year Tean has become brave enough to go down big slides.  Last year he would barely go down the little slides, but now he is getting a little braver.
It was hot out there, but lots of fun!!

Peek-a-Boo

A couple of weeks ago, I was playing with Ziah and he started playing peek-a-boo with me.  He would lift the book up and cover his face, and then put it down when I said, "peek-a-boo!"  He thought it was so funny! (sorry the pictures are fuzzy)

Isn't he adorable?

Ross Park Swimming Pool

A couple of weeks ago we went to Ross park swimming pool with Tean's friend Cole.  We brought our lunch there and ate.
Ziah had a fun time playing around on the table.
They have a little swimming pool for kids that Tean loved.

Ziah had a fun time playing around in the water too, as long as it didn't get too deep.
Tean loved moving around in the water on his hands.

Tean's friend splashing him.  Even though it looks like Tean is smiling, he was actually mad that he was getting splashed.
I tried and tried to get Tean in the lazy river, and finally accomplished it.  He was scared at first, but I finally got him in a tube and he wanted to go around it twice.  Both kids had a great time swimming!
