Tean's First Christmas
This Christmas was Tean's first Christmas. It was exciting being Santa for the first time. We got Tean a ball pit, a rocking horse, a musical thing he stands at and pushes buttons, some clothes and some small toys. He seemed excited for it and loves to play with all his toys. He loves to throw the balls out of his ball pit, so we get to chase the balls! (sorry the pictures aren't very good:()
Christmas Eve
For Christmas Eve, we went up to Josh and Tami's house (Jake's brother and sister-in-law) had had Christmas Eve with them. We had a Jerusalem dinner which was really cool. We ate the stuff that was typical of what Mary and Joseph ate in their time. We then did a nativity. Jake was the donkey and Tean was baby Jesus. We sang Christmas songs and just had a great time with family. Then all of the kids opened one present. I had Tean open some PJ's that I had made. Growing up, my family always opened 1 present on Christmas eve and it was always pajamas. I thought that was a great tradition to keep up with, so we had Tean open 1 present. Tean examining the bow. Tean going after the present. Tean taking off the wrapping paper. Present out, time to go after the wrapping paper.

Moon Christmas Party
This past weekend, we went down to Utah for the Moon Family Christmas party. We had a great time. Everyone except my parents, and Frank and Kailey were there. We had a nice talk about the nativity story, and then we had soup for dinner. After that, Santa came! This time, Tean was scared of Santa. After the party, everyone headed over to Layton Park and saw the lights. I hadn't been for a long time, and I had forgot how great they are! I was great to get together and see my family again.

Tean's First Haircut
Ward Christmas Party
Tuesday was our ward Christmas party. I'm on the activities committee so I had to help plan it. We had dinner, a program and Santa came. Jake helped our entertainment sing an orchestra song. He was the drum. Jake was also Santa for the ward party. Tean did a great job sitting on Santa's lap. He didn't get mad or anything. Maybe it was because he saw Jake changing into the Santa costume or maybe he was just happy to be there. We had a good time there.

Projects
I took part of the tree that we cut off our Christmas tree and made a wreath. To make it I cut some branches off, wired them together, wrapped the ribbon around, made a bow and hot glued to bow on. Then I hot glued the pine cones and some holly berries on. I thought it turned out pretty good!
Our banister's balisters are not up to code. When the banister was put in, there was no code. Tean's head could fall through. We were really worried that he would fall through the hole, so we decided that we needed to fix them. Well, today, Jake's dad came over and helped him put in more balisters. They look great! They did a great job. Now we don't have to worry about Tean falling through the holes! Before After

Decorating the Christmas Tree
We cut down our Christmas tree again this year, and boy, was it cold when we did! We had a fun time decorating the tree. Tean has done amazingly well at not getting into the tree. I thought we would have a really hard time keeping him out, but he hasn't really tried to play with the stuff on the tree very much.
BYU-Utah Rivalry Game
What a game! Since we have season tickets, we got to go to the BYU-Utah game. We left Tean at my aunt and uncle's house, and I'm glad we did! It was a long game and cold! It was really exciting, but we were a little disappointed that BYU kept it as close as they did. It should have been a blowout, but it was the rivalry game. We had some Ute fans around us, so boy was I glad that we won! Jake and his brother, Josh, and some of Josh's relatives after BYU made that awesome TD! On the field after the game.
Thanksgiving with the Chandler's
This year for Thanksgiving, we were with Jake's family. We went to his parent's house. All of his mom's brothers and sisters came up there with their families. There were some people there that I had never met before. It was pretty loud and crazy. I didn't get very many pictures, but here is one of Tean with Jake's cousin Candice. We had a great time being with family, eating lots of food, and playing games. Tean loved all the people that were around. So did I because Tean was entertained and didn't have to be by me all the time!

Tean's First Jazz Game
After the BYU-Air Force game, we had box seats to a Jazz game. Jake is not a Jazz fan at all, so he cheered for the Pistons, but the Jazz prevailed in overtime and beat them. Tean had fun playing at the game, and he enjoyed the food. He dropped a cup, and a soda can twice on the people in front of us. They didn't seem very happy with him, but at least they were empty!
BYU-Air Force Game
We have season tickets to BYU football games. Here's Tean at the Air Force game. He was getting a little ornery, so his grandma gave him a sucker and he was in heaven! He also was a sticky mess! At first he was not willing to take it out of his mouth, but after a bit he started to share with us. It was so cute. He would hold out the sucker for us to lick and then he would lick it. He's so adorable!
Thanksgiving With the Moon's
My parents were supposed to fly out to Poland on the 13th of November, but some other missionaries were going to fly out there on the 16th, so their flight was changed. Since they were no longer leaving on the 13th, they got to go home to Layton for the weekend. Since they came home for the weekend, we decided to have a Thanksgiving early. So on the 14th we had our Thanksgiving. I made some pies for the dinner, and they turned out great. It was great that almost everyone was able to get together and spend some time together. We had a great time eating great food and playing games together. It was really nice to have one last chance to spend some time with my parents before they headed to Poland.
