Ziah Drinking Like a Big Boy

Lately, Ziah has loved drinking out of a cup.  He takes a sip, and then looks at me with the biggest smile on his face and then he leans in for more.  I love this kid!

Walking Roxy

Tean loves playing with Roxy and she is such a good dog and so patient with both of my kids.  We have been teaching Roxy how to walk on a leash and to not pull us as we walk her and she has been doing great.  We let Tean walk her, and he was loving it!

Swimming Lessons

This summer we put Tean in swimming lessons again.  Last summer he was so scared of the water, but by the end of swim lessons, he was just fine.  When we were going to swimming lessons on the first day, Tean said, "I don't want to go.  I hate swimming lessons."  I was a mean mom and told him he could either go to swimming lessons or stay in timeout during them.  He chose swimming and he has loved it!

He took lessons with his friend Cole, that lives across the street.  They loved being in the same class together.

The last day of swimming lessons.  Tean was so sad that it was over and wished that he could keep going.  I guess we will just have to go swimming a lot this summer!

Ball Pit!

 Austin, Jake's contact at his manufacturing place in China, sent this to Jake for Tean.

 We set it up while Tean was asleep.  It turned out to be HUGE.  We had to rearrange our downstairs to fit it there, but I like it better now.  It opens the room up so much more.  The next day was Sunday, so he hadn't been downstairs.  We sent him downstairs right before church to grab something, and he was down there for a bit.  We told him to come on that we had to leave for church.  He came to the bottom of the stairs and said, "Mom, can I play downstairs after church?"  I asked him if he saw the surprise downstairs.  He said he did.  He was super excited to play in it and after church went down there and played in it for a couple of hours.

 Tean has loved having it and playing in it with friends.  Mosiah has even been in it a bit, but usually it has been when he was tired or almost time to eat so he was a little cranky in it.

Soccer is Over

The same day as the recital and family pictures was also Tean's last soccer game.  It was a busy day!  Tean has LOVED playing soccer this year.  His team struggled a bit, sometimes they had just barely enough to play, but he had lots of fun playing.  He even scored the most goals on his team.  They lost all of their games, but Tean is excited about playing next year!

Family Pictures

After the piano recital, we had family pictures.  I loved how they turned out!  The only thing was that it was super bright outside, so Ziah is squinting in a lot of the pictures and isn't his usual happy self.

Last Piano Recital

On June 1, I had my last piano recital for my students.  I have decided to stop teaching piano for a while.  I have enjoyed teaching and I have some pretty great students.  They all did awesome at the recital.  I hope they all continue playing the piano!

 Since it was the my last recital, I decided to go all out and I made this cute cupcake stand that I saw on pinterest.  I also made some treats for the students and those who memorized got a special little treat.  I forgot to take a picture of the treats :(

After trying out the cupcake stand to make sure that it didn't fall over when loaded with cupcakes, I added chocolate chips to the top of these cupcakes in the shape of notes.  I thought that the recital was a success!
